Anybody have any advice on appropriate MTB glasses so I can get down mucky descents without having to stop halfway to claw mud out of my eyes? Would prefer glasses as I'm not really endurooooooo enough for goggles!

Just want something that'll fit snug and not rattle about, clear lens, preferably one that won't get scratched up, but doesn't break the bank (maybe moon on a stick here).

Would also be interested in anything 2nd hand anyone has (stealth wtd ad :D).

Thanks in advance 🙂

Thanks perchypanther - Found em for 7.69 so worth a shot!

I might consider going full enduro if I get into it a bit more but I can't really justify buying a new helmet right now unfortunately!

I've got bolle ones from tool station. Work great & not the end of the world when they get scratched born damaged.

When you go in, chose a few from the catalogue & they will let you try them on.

Decent mudguard is worth the spends. Mudhugger FR with the extender catch’s 99.9% of the crap.

Wrapz trailbreaker vented can be got on ebay for around £20 upwards. I like these when the weather is shit as the vents help to stop them fogging up as easily which is my bugbear in the wet weather.

Second the mudguards.

Goggles covered in crap are no use to anyone.

No idea, but mine are a couple of years old and still good (must stop washing them in muddy puddles though).

Nah, it's the only way to see properly for the full ride.

Bolle Spider for me. They fit well, pretty much never fog up and last a while without scratching too. Always have a couple of pairs in reserve 'cos they're the only ones I've tried that work as well (for me).

Also available as sunglasses and anti glare.

One of the best pairs of "glasses" I had were a pair of PPE goggles that got handed out when I hired some piece of equipment. Worth nipping into your local builders' merchants and grabbing some for a not very much. For a couple of quid it doesn't matter if they get scratched or lost.

Decathlon’s clear glasses are as good as anything I’ve tried. I got 3 pairs for a tenner. Just bin them when they get too scratched up.
