Riding Cwmcarn on Tuesday evening, riding down the last descent (with my GF so fortunately a lot slower than usual), rounded one of the berms to be confronted by a maniac runner with a death wish coming in the opposite direction with his dog! I told him it was a mountain bike trail and his response was "So?". The guy who arrived in the car park after us nearly hit him too.
Despite the numerous no entry signs and stiles and the miles and miles of walkers trails, he still had to run the wrong way up the fastest part of the Twrch!
Whats wrong with people???? Second time this has happened to me, the last time was at Afan. Is this a regular thing for everyone?
cheeky running trail, same as mtbers riding footpaths
it's not just confined to runners, ramblers and dog walkers. I've watched a family of five head the wrong way up the final descent at Nantyarian on their bikes. You must assume it's illiteracy, icon blindness or just plain thick as two short planks.
and a dash of ignorance. You can bet they're 'clever' enough to try the ambulance chaser compensation forms after they cause a crash toojust plain thick as two short planks
