Anyone used one of the newer DDH shooter frames for trials/jumpy fun? Got the option of one fairly cheap but don't want a pile of junk.

Opinions?

they have a funny slack head angle as a lot of 'dual slalom' bikes did around that time.

when you say newer? are you talking about camo era or newer again? there where never many changes afaik.

I'd be dropping a set of planetx knifen forks on it and running SS with a tensioner I think. The forks may help a little with the head angle maybe.

it still ends up with a slack head angle and too much chopper flop for my liking.

Hmm I'm not keen on too shallow a head angle, but it's not a million miles off my existing trialsy bike, the only reason I'm swapping from that is I'm having tyre clearance issues.
