Why are road bike frames never anodised, alloy ones that is? Would save weight too on pant!Even before carbon got mainstreem, never did see an anodised road bike...

oh yeah remember the dark blue principias. Not sure aboutseeing Nicolai... no doubt others will flood in now...

Probably because most anodising wears off too quickly (certainly on all the bikes I've got which are anodised).

top end stuff is under the UCI weight limit anyway, so not really an advantage
