@Weeksy – he’ll go effing fast on it.
Watched the latest Brayton vid last night - Danny's flying on it.
@zercool there's fast and there's FAST though isn't there.
I wonder if his fast just isn't FAST any more due to age. 32 may not be old as such, but it arguably is in terms of DH (mostly) and as always with sports, the younger guys bring something 'new' to the sport and in this context it's more speed.
I'd like to be proven wrong, but i'm not seeing him troubling the top 5.
I wouldn't rule him out, but I wouldn't rule him in either.
He drifted away from the top handful of riders a little while at Cube, but he's possibly on a more competitive bike now - and on his day I reckon he could still do it.
So many of them could do it on their day now though.
Imo there's not a lot of riders capable of winning a WC DH round but I think Danny is one of them that is. I wouldn't expect him to be in for a shout of the overall but on the right day he could well be at the pointy end.

Theres not a lot but there are a few.
If for example you said that the overall would be a fight between Jackson, Bruni, and Pierron then you'd expect at least half the races those riders would be winning.
So the other half of the races you've got Finn, Loris, Kolb, Williams, Dunne, Brosnan and some others I'd put currently at least on par with Danny, all fighting for say one win each.
Well, a year down the line and.... yes, yes he has!
Danny Hart on Norco Race Division factory team for 2025. Thats an absolute result, as it always seemed like he's go so much left to give but effectively doing everything himself all the time, (almost privateer style last year) doesnt help.
Greg knows what support a team needs to give the riders, he's raced against Danny for years and presumably had a say in his signing - I reckon there could be some big results for Danny this year if it all clicks into place.

Yep, great to see Norco taking a chance on an older rider - haha - even if they were partially motivated by his points tally.
This should put Danny on a level playing field with the best. Can't wait to see what he can do.

I think Danny's at best; a top ten rider at best now, isn't he? Don't get me wrong, I think he's still a world class rider, but the stars are going to have to align to get him in sniffing distance of the podium.
I suspect you won't be able to see the stars due to the amount of rain clouds in place!

And from the smoke emitting from Danny's Dad if he goes off on one when his son doesn't get his own way/win!
In a competitive and very open field Danny still seems to be there or thereabouts…he is impressively consistent at picking up points even if he’s not on the podium.
You'd be foolish to bet against Danny getting on the podium this year IMO
He's still Danny Hart and this seems like a very good bike.
Was interesting listening to either Alan Milway or Sven Martin talking about how Danny has the pace but maybe hasn’t had the team or the inclination to go hunting for the hundredths of a second that the likes of Bruni etc are doing with bike set up.
Seemed with his mechanic/engineer last season they did a lot of work on that GT to try and get it up to speed. Will be really interesting to see what he can do with a full preseason on the bike with the support that Norco will provide.
That new Norco bike looks pretty darn fast and the Norco team seems committed to winning.
Look at the work that Danny and his mechanic put into the stock GT Fury to get it where he wanted it and how fast he got last year. And look at all the fettling and tweaking Norco did last season to eke out extra speed.
Hopefully he keeps the same guy and they can work with Norco because Danny Hart is still pretty damned rapid on his bike.
