Do SRAM chains (10speed) still use the powerlink so you can easily remove the chain? (easyer to clean etc)
Ta
Yes
Yes but the 10 speed links are not that easy to remove, I am using a KMC link at the moment and it is marginally easier.
There are tools that help but i'm stubborn and tight.
Cheers guys.. Mbnut, sounds like me, ta buddy.
*tentatively puts hand up*
I thought 10 speed SRAM quick links weren't reusable?
Me too. I thought the had to be removed with a chain tool....even they're evil things to get off especially compared to the old nine speed ones.
Get the connex one, It's much better.
The 10 speed SRAM uses a power lock instead of the power link. The power lock is not intended to be removed.
As above, powerlock not link, shouldn't be reused.
I use KMC chain, and the link was fairly easy to take apart by hand and replace. Go KMC. ๐
SRAM powerlinks are supposedly single use, but they can be removed with pliers and re-used. I've done it a few times, sometimes they pop off no problem, others they can be very stubborn
I've reused my link now about 3 times. I must be living on borrowed time, eeeeppp!
