i have a pair of these roval wheels Roval Control SL VI 350
i was wondering can i get tubeless car valves to fit the wheels instead of the presta ones? (as i bloody hate presta valves).
am worried the answer is no as the hole wouldn't be big enough to fit a schrader (or they don't make tubeless compatible schrader valves) and drilling a bigger hole wouldn't be advisable as carbon rims.
i know there are plenty of people who have no problems with presta valves and i envy you i really do, BUT presta valves give me nothing but trouble.
it's a bloody stupid antiquated design that belongs in the past imho.

A standard Schraeder valve stem won't fit a Presta hole. You'll either need to drill out the valve hole in the rim or try to bodge an adapter to screw a Schraeder stem onto a Presta stem.
Have had some rare issues with Presta valves over the last 35 years where I have bent the valve core. Recently tried this and it is a lot less flimsy.

As above, I'd be tempted to use something like the Clik valve/whatever the Santa Cruz/Muc-Off/Peatys equivalents are. I'm on the verge of doing it as I too have a hatred of Presta valves. Of all the things on a modern bike, we're still using those POS that clog up with tyre jizz/bend etc.
Get some clik valves
Work with schrader pumps, work even better with a pump with a clik adapter on

Clik valves for the win. Idiot proof and cheap enough to have a punt.
Get some BBB Core Caps, then unscrew the presta valve’s core and fit the BBB Core Cap
This converts the presta valve to a Schrader, so you can easily use a Schrader pump and they allow a lot more airflow so its quicker to pump up the tyre
Running them on my gravel bike and will be converting my MTB soon

basically i had an incident with a huge nail going through my tyre as i was heading up the caen hill locks to home.
obviously the sealant couldn't seal the hole so i had to try and plug it for the first time in my life (literally have been riding tubeless for 10 years now roughly without any issues until today).
managed to use a plug on the hole and sealed it but when i try to pump up my tyre with my mini pump (a something race rocket where you screw the end onto the valve/ i have a set of those reserve valves too fitted to my wheels).
anyways as i was pumping the tyre the valve broke and sheared off into the end of my pump head so i cannot get it out now.
basically anything that could go wrong did all at once all because of this farking 6 inch nail that someone had left/dropped on the towpath.
i will be taking my wheels to be changed over and fixed at my local bike shop on monday (also changing the rovals over to my new epic ht at the same time from my chisel fs bike that i was riding today (and swapping the tyres over from my epic wheels to rovals).
now i'm going to go lie down after typing all that guff lol.
Having just bent two valve cores while changing a tyre, I am definitely in the market for a Presta alternative. I know valve cores are cheap but it is the faff and frustration levels that get me.
I've got the mucoff ones on both bikes and am happy with them. Expensive Vs a normal presta, but definitely easier to inflate.
I have the BBB core caps. No more sticking presta valves and fitted easily without having to remove the valve stem.
That would be my choice, though I've not tried the clik valves so don't know what the advantage of them would be over the core caps.
I’ve just drilled all my rims to take Schrader valves and never looked back. I don’t have carbon rims though.
