I have given most cycle disciplines a crack but until recently never knew about cycle speedway.
Cycle Speedway looks like a good crack, any of you still into it?
Turns out I live no distance at all to an old track, I will go and have look to see if it
could be revived (with land managers permission of course).
I have been to a few training sessions, it is a good crack.
Do you know a few people who would want to get involved? Maybe consider a youth club.
It shouldn't need too much to get it going. Drainage is important, and also depending where you are, some kind of barrier to stop scooter riders ragging up the track.
They are occasionally racing Saturday lunchtimes when we come out of Newport velodrome. Quite often sit and watch for a while, looks like a good laugh.
