I know these are usually designed to run with drop levers, but can they work on their own?

Yes. The cable end stop fits in to the lever rather than runs through to the drop lever.

Took mine off a couple of years ago so my memory is a bit hazy but I can't see how you could anchor the cable end.

dont they use them on their :mrgreen: own with some singlespeeds (roadie style ones)?

what levers would you use then? road bars with mini-v's?

just looked at mine and I would think the nipple would just fit into the lever

yes they do, charge fit them on standard to 3 of the bikes in their range
