I'm off to Cwmcarn on Sunday for the first time in years and wondering whether I should go with waterproof shorts? Are there any big puddles? Only asking as it will mean cutting down my RAF goretex and breaking out the sewing machine.

I was there yesterday and it's not bad at all. If there's lots of rain the night before it might be worth it but judging by yesterday it drains well!

And Cafall is awesome fun, much climbing leads to some great roller coaster descents ๐Ÿ™‚ There's also a new pump track for a little warm up.

Enjoy!

May as well be comfortable, but yes I'm a softy. Forecast looks dry for the day, so hoping to do both XC and hopefully a couple of sneaky uplifts.

Bob the Ranger and his boys have done a brilliant job on Twrch at least (not ridden the others recently) - no puddles.

Of course if it's pissing down Airstream to Archie's will be a fast flowing stream with a trail as it's base - take a towel and a couple of MTFU pills.

Far better off with a crudguard than sewing up old trousers!
