[Closed] Cwm Big/Aberbeeg/Mynydd Carn y Cefn

Tried this yesterday. Cwm Big was beautiful, but some nice forestry contractor had left sticks a foot deep on half of it making for a bit of a slog. Is there another better way up there? I know of the fire-road on the ridge to the West, cos I came down it, but is there another option? And also, are all those MXers there all the time or just on Sundays? 🙂

I saw another fire road going down away from the sticky section to the other side of the valley but it looked like it doubled back the wrong direction.

I want to be able to get from Aberbeeg to the head of the valley so I can come down over Cefn Manmoel for my loop.
