Heres some pics from the weekend. Some of us from retrobike went from Langsett Reservoir over Cutgate to Ladybower and back. Great ride and banter. The only mechanical as such was some flat forks on the Diamondback full suss, not bad a group of bikes ranging from 87 to 99 ๐
One person did take a look at the team replica Raleigh (an ex works bike) and the matching team kit and ask is it the 1970's? ๐
Cheers to the guys on here for convincing me to take the SLR out on the bike, i love it ๐

Marvellous! Looks like a good ride was enjoyed by all. Nice to see old bikes being used rather than languishing in sheds, and on a good route too ๐
Good effort! 8)
I saw you chaps and did wonder....
I was the bloke on his own on the Silver Orange 5 that passed you by the rock step on the descent to Slippery Stones. I saw a couple of you on rigid bikes but it was only really when I came back up from Slippery Stones that I clocked the guy in the Raleigh gear at which point I figured it must of been some sort of deliberate retro event.
Good on you - tell the Raleigh boy he literally brightened my day!
Matt
If he was then he was probably blinded by the Raleigh Lycra ๐
That's me - had an SPD moment at 0.5mph. I bounced three times that day and have been sore all flippin week. Still had a great time though. I saw your comments on retrobike about STW readers - I'd best go round to my dads and get my old 1991 Rockhopper Sport for a run over Cut Gate in order to MTFU ๐ On second thoughts...
Having said that I've been over a couple of times on a 1988 Marin Palisades Trail but I was fifteen and a lot fitter and dafter.
Potdog - LOL ๐
Scuttler, i didn't actually see what you'd done, just remember turning round and seeing you in a heap.
I haven't done much riding in the Peaks, being based in Northumberland, but it is good riding down there ๐
