Two options for the weekend
1. Cut Gate - out and back from Fairholmes (Ladybower)
2. Penmachno

I'd prefer to do Cut gate but am worried it might be a bit on the soggy side. Never ridden it before so don't know what to expect. Having done Mountain Mayhem last month, I've seen more than enough mud for this year!
A bit of local knowledge would be appreciated.

Rode up North America on Saturday and whilst there were a few wet bits, on the whole it was fine. Up above North America, the trail is primarily rocky/hard packed so little in the way of issues with being waterlogged.

Had a hell of a lot of rain in sheffield over last 2 days. Might need your water wings in a couple of spots!

Would you be interested in doing Doctors Gate round to Cut Gate with a car shuttle along the horrible road section between Ladybower and Snake Pass?
I'm hoping to do a bigish ride on Sunday and that was one of the options.

Just got back from Cut Gate. It was well worth it. A bit muddy in places, but then part of the fun is seeing your mate's front wheel sink to the hub in the mud and him rolling around in the puddle. A fantastic day out. Thanks again for all the feedback.

For us what should have been 2-3 hours turned in to 5 1/2 through faffing... Good day out though and the return leg to Langsett had dried considerably from when we traversed it first time round.
