Happened a few months ago now but just reminded myself of this:
I bought some xpedo cx pedals, thinking (maybe rightly) that they'd clear mud better than Shimano spd. The cleat-retaining bar broke on one of them eventually, so I emailed xpedo to see if they sold spares (pedals were 4 years old so no warranty question). I got an almost instant response, asking for a couple of photos of the part and purchase receipt. Sent these over but on looking closer, the screw had pulled out and stripped the pedal's thread so I asked about getting hold of a pedal body instead.
New pedal, free of charge, was with me inside a week. Magic - thanks Ken !
Very impressive service, they are quite pricey though (VS default M540/520) so should that kinda be the default perhaps?
Unfortunately my main concern would always be just how prominent is the branding (on the axles)? And Just how prone to wearing/rub is the 'X' Vs the rest of the lettering? 😉
