With MTB bars become side wide a pair of cross top lever would make sense for road sections.

I see hope were developing some here
hope cross top

But they dont seem available.

I guess it would be possible to use the hope cable to hydraulic convertor to bodge something.

But it would be nice to have a proper solution.

To be honest they would actually make a lot more sense than for cyclocross if you ask me, with the position on the tops for cyclo cross actually being way to narrow.

Strong disagree.

Might help psychologically, but not really going to make much difference - aero isn't going to matter when you are braking.

Does anyone actually use them in Cyclo-cross?

I thought they were more of a bimbling accessory, havent seen them on a bike for ages and with a move to hydraulic brakes imagine they must be dying out. I do sometimes rest my hands on the inside of the bar on a long haul (on MTB riser), just to vary position but never felt the need to have a duplicate set of controls there TBH
