My son has a Orbea MX24 team disc – the current wheels and tyres are very heavy.
I was planning on changing to tubeless tyres which will save 800g, but I’d like to put lighter wheels on. The current ones are 36 spoke heavy duty ones (i guess dirt jump?
Don’t mind building something or buying complete wheels – but don’t really want to go much over £200
Anyone got any suggestions? Stans 24" crest don't seem to be available anymore
stans crests are available. but that is £140 of your 200 budget. measure what the current wheels weight and then go from there to see if it is worth while.
send an email to Lukasz Ryz ryz@fitwheels.eu and see what he can offer.
Take some of the spokes out?
Superstar do some but over budget, wait for a sale and they should be under £200.
Try Jejames they have a few on site.
Also 24 wheels for sale in classified section.
Condor do reasonably light/cheap 24" MTB rims: https://www.condorcycles.com/products/condor-24-mtb-rim
