Hey all. Just wanted to express some gratitude to the team at Lynskey

I bought a pre-owned Lynskey Summit a few weeks back. The opportunity came up, the price was good, so I hit it.

Perhaps not the best bike inspection, I was more "phwoar, Ti full suss" than cautious perspective buyer. But hey, I'd probably have still bought it, I was just checking for potential cracks tbh!

Anyway, got the bike home, drooled. Checked the pivots, bearings and bushings.

Rear pivot hardware: both sides, and both bolts completely rounded off. Managed to get some grip (clearly done before as the outside of the bolt heads had marks on as it held by some kind of grippy wrench.

Over the last week, the most perfect comms with Lynskey. They replied to emails, and Facebook messages via one of the Lynskey owner groups. Excellent.

Thus far I've been sent a full guide, typed out on torque settings and rebuild guide, parts list, stockists etc etc. The bushings are made by Igus - self lubricating plastic ones. Available from Igus US. Except not in stock and special order. They put in the leg work too, found a specialist in Aus (where I live) who then ordered the parts from Germany at relatively low cost/shipping and they are on the way.

The bolts. Ah. Few days later, Lynskey email me. They have the bolts. Do I want standard shipping or DHL? Given the floods over East and covid delays I opted for DHL. Price? $50 US shipped.

I'm honestly blown away about how supportive they have been despite not being the OG owner! They never even questioned the fact this was a pre owned build.

Anyways, while I wait for bits to arrive..... Stuck some new rubber on. Waiting for a bottle of Orange Seal to arrive, and some tubeless valves. I will get a dropper eventually (oh - great cable routing too - hole in bottom of seat tube for the remote cable!) and have been looking at some new bars but can't decide if I'm going carbon or Spank Vibrocore....

Pic for criticism on brick colour, extension cable routing etc etc

That look a bit of alright! Not normally my thing at all, but that is smart.
I'm glad that you got such great service, makes the ownership experience start well. I hope enjoy the bike.

Looks pretty and I had good service from them when I ****ted my Lynskey fabricated 456Ti frame many years ago, but a layback post and long stem in 2021?

I know, right?

But, it fits me surprisingly well as is.

I'm looking at a 150/170mm dropper and I've got my eyes on a Burgtec bar/stem combo. It's not staying like that. Gotta watch the spends (as I need the forks fully rebuilt on my Zaskar!). Question is, which gets priority......dun dun duuuuuun.
