Evening all , I've got Easton EA70 XL 29” wheels on Easton EA70 XL hubs. I've had a persistent and very annoying creaking which starts under strain when climbing. I've had it in with two different mechanics, the best solution was lubricating the joint between spokes and hub which helps a bit but has not cured it, anybody had anything similar and any solutions?....Thanks in advance.

Strip and rebuild with thread lock dude and lube were necessary. Easton have a habit of this and two of my mates have now ditched them for others because of it.

I had an annoying creak/click on a rear wheel. Turned out it was the freehub. There was a teeny - tiny bit of slack, a quick tighten with an Allen - key cured it.

It's an Easton wheel-most of them seem to creak sadly.

Different brand, but j hard to find creak from the back wheel was a cracked ferrying body. Got to be worth a look.
