Want my new cranks to stay new looking, I get a lot of rock strikes. The raceface ones come in 2 sizes, alloy and carbon. Anyone know which fits best? Is there a shimano specific crank boot on sale anywhere?

I have RaceFace alloy ones on my SLX cranks. They are alright. I haven't tried the crabon ones , but RF crabon have heowge arms.
