I'm looking at maybe getting a steel frame, been looking at the Orange P7 or a Cove Handjob.
Will I be able to run my set of 140mm Pike's on either of them ???
Mate of mine runs Pikes on a Handjob. Don't think he ever bothers to wind them in from 140mm either.
i've got Pikes at 140mm on my 130mm Cove Handjob, no probs, been hammered in the Lakes, CyB etc
Ive been wondering if the frame can take the bigger fork without weakening it??
well Ive taken the plunge and got me a second hand Cove Handjob, I'm planning on putting my pikes on it and running them at the full 140mm
Just make sure its not one of them 100mm travel coke can top tube jobs then.
metalheart- not sure what you mean ?? it's a 2008 frame

The older (100mm travel) frames had a propensity for folding on the top tube. I'd have thought that pikes would make that event more or less a dead cert!
I run my Handjob with 130mm Laurins..
Feels spot on to me..
I run my Handjob on 140mm Pikes.
No problems so far.
Just for a minute there I had the fear....
It's good to know I should be cool with the pikes
