So, whos good to use for shipping whole bikes. Obviously cheap is on the radar, but reliable/safe arrival is higher.

Senditnow (parcel force) is my preferred. Around £20-25 insured for 48h. Drop off at PO makes my life easier, but they can collect.

Used Cycle Sent twice in the past month with very good results.

£26.99 for next day with £1k insurance. Extra £10 for up to £2k insurance.

Booked 11pm, picked up next day, delivered the day after.

Is it a requirement that bikes be boxed?

Just been and looked 😉 basically £26 to post a boxed bike, £45 if you need them to supply a box, insurance to £1000 inc, more POA...

Whereabouts are you mate? I know two places that ship bikes 48 hours for less than a tenner

South Yorks, but I don't have anything bigger than a frame box - and not enough of them for what I need to clear out there n the not too distant. £25 sounded reasonable tbh, and having bought moving boxes in the last year or so, the box price didn't sound wildly off mark for retail either...
