Hi

I'm thinking about getting a 275 soul frame and was hoping to get the latest one.  I'd be putting in 26 wheels and forks until I can afford to change them, this would drop the BB and alter the head angle. Anything else to worry about?

Second question can Hope pro 2 hubs not pro 2 evo be altered to make them boost compatible?

Also will my XTR M970 cranks be compatible with the boost spacing?

If not I'll look for the previous edition soul, is the geometry of the last soul similar to the current soul?

Apologies for all the questions I'm a bit confused with all this 275, 29, boost, dropper posts etc as I stopped following mtb tech a few years ago, it seems very easy to buy the wrong parts.

I've got a new Soul, so I can answer some of the questions

Using 26" wheels will drop the front and back by the same amount, so while you'll lower the BB, you won't change the head angle for a given fork length.

Not sure about the Pro2 -v- Evo debate, as you'll need 12mm through axle rear compatibility anyway, which might necessitate a bearing change too, but Hope do a converter kit for the Pro 4 that  shunts the hub to driveside, uses an extra long NDS spacer, then another spacer on the disc mount to bring the disc rotor back to the right place. You then need to redish the wheel to centre it back up again.

XTR 970 cranks work lovely. That's what I'm using.

The geo is very different to the previous version - and is awesome!

Thanks might be easier to sell the wheels then. Just seen I can sell my current forks for a similar price to some 27.5 revelations although God knows what debonair etc is.

Any pics Jon, I think the 970 cranks with the chrome paint must look great.

Debonair - I think is an RS factory equivalent of a Vorsprung Luftkappe (google it) fitted to older forks. Basically makes the fork spring rate rather nicer.

Mine's orange. I'd stick up a pic if I could work out how to link from Instagram on this bloody forum! Search CoticJon and you'll find some pics.

Looks great, I like the colour coordinated grips and stickers. What size is that, they've changed their system my current cotic simple is 17.5"
