About to buy a heavily reduced Reverb 170mm from ze Germans, but wondering if it'll go far enough into the frame to get the saddle low enough. Does anyone have a medium Rocket with a long post like this?

Cheers,

I would be dubious, unless you are likely to have a very high saddle.

If you look at the build specs for the Rocket, they specify a 125mm Turbine dropper for the Medium and a 150 for the Large, which suggests they can't fully insert a 150 into the seat-tube on a medium.

Worth leaving the buy button alone until someone at Cotic can confirm max insertion depth.

The pivot housing limits the insertion, and the top of that is 190mm from the centre of the BB. I know a 170mm Reverb would just about fit for me on the new Rocket but I doubt it would for most riders on a medium.

Mate of mine tried a 170mm reverb in his medium Flare and it didn't go in far enough due to the kink/bend in the seat tube.

Thought as much. I'd better stick to 125mm going by what Cotic use with their full bike builds.

Cheers,

I have a 150mm stealth Reverb in mine (medium) but I had to remove the connectamajig due to the pivot location. Not a big deal, you just need to bleed the line afterwards. I'm 5'10 and my legs are on the short side. There's not much room to drop it any further from where I run it, maybe 5mm or so. 170mm definitely won't fit though.
