A little help here.
My thoughts are going round and round like this. I think I prefer the DT's looks and reviews, but I run tubeless and currently using rim strips, which is okay, but previously had crossmax XL's and they were a lot less hassle. But the freehub was crap (as are the 08 SX’s I understand). But the 2009 have a new free hub. But the DT Swiss freehub is proven....... And so it goes round
I've been running 2 pairs of 08 sx's trouble free for nearly two years now with the occasional clean/lube of the freehub. I can assure you they are far from crap. I think the improvement for 09 is only quicker engagement as my 09 Deemaxes pick up almost as quick as King's, but can't be sure as i've not opened them up yet.
Anyway, highly recommended.
