[Closed] Converting x9 crank to singlespeed - big gap from BB seal to sprocket?

Just taken off double rings off my X9 cranks and fitted MRP bling ring for single speed set up. Fitted new GXP BB and tightened cranks but there's now a gap from the face of the BB on the drive side to the rear of the bling ring (presumably where the 2nd ring would've been if 2 x 10). Should something go in there like a spacer or something? At the moment it's just 10mm of the bare spindle.
