[#695807]

I've just fitted flat bars and a longer stem to my 100mm front travel hardtail together with new tyres (2.1 racing ralph rear 2.1 nobby nic front)

All in preparation to this weekends visit to Morzine.

Am I going to die?

Why do you want flat bars in Morzine?

You'll never be able to do rad shit like this.

extract of an email I've just received:

I've just thrashed it round the garden. It feels great. very nippy and contrary to what I was worried it was going to be like, it still seems very easy to honk the front wheel up (narrow, lower, further forward bars = less leverage?) and as a result pulled the most impressive wheelie yet.

I think I can see my mtb mojo on the horizon!!!!

I couuldn't stop thrashing t round the garden. Neighbours prob think : 'le stupid anglais il est fou. Il roule dans le jardin a midi comme un petit garcon'

Will having risers make me able to do that?

They were probably about 6mm too narrow. Just ask MBR.

Contreversial

Where is this controversy exactly? Are the voices in your head having an argument again?

Well I thought it was accepted that flat bars had been superceeded by risers.

As to the voices in my head, there are some at the very back, that are very quiet that are saying, " Go on buy some bar ends. They make sense."

Some of my riding pals did that gap on holiday last week.

I didn't have the bottle.

Only when it comes around again, it works better. Those Kore's are twice the width of what we used to run around on, and have some sweep.
