I have been running a black chili protection x king out back and am loving it, however the carcass is splitting all over, had I have paid the full £55 I would be rather annoyed so I'm not keen on getting another.
So... What is the same but better?

Schwalbe Racing Ralph evo snakeskin or Maxxis Ardent. That's what I use anyway.

I had exactly the same problem with the sides splitting, shame as I liked them

Now using Geax Saguaro

Yes, I liked my XK BC Pro, until it ripped wide open at QECP on Saturday night 🙁

We've found x-kings good but you could try a Racing Ralph snakeskin as above or an Ardent or even Ardent Race - Maxxis tyres tend to be tough.

Do you want a half worn XK BC Pro 2.4 for the cost of postage? Carcass is good, sipes present on most of tread, some torn knobs. I need more braking grip for mincing down steep loose stuff!

Seems the sidewalls haven't improved then, my 2.4 RQ protections did exactly the same
