Do yourself a potentially life-saving one minute job and check it over carefully.

I snapped mine on the way to work yesterday (popping over a busy road). It snapped again on the way home (just pulling out onto another busy road).

Closer inspection last night has revealed at least a dozen fractures on the plates from rivet to edge.

It's not a one off, as my other Connex 9S1 stainless chain has exactly the same issue.

I might have had a bad batch, but if I've saved someone a) being late b) getting mucky hands or c) falling under a car then that's good karma.

mine too on the ss whilst towing my son in a trailer. rubbish imo.

Yep I've heard this too, but my own Connex and KMC stainless steel chains seem to be doing OK - touch wood.
