We are supposed to be riding on the Quantocks this weekend, but could do with confirmation as to whether it is still snowbound and unrideable or not?

Anyone know for cert what it is like at the mo?

Cheers

I had a look Wednesday morning and it looked pretty unrideable then, I drove to work over the Quantocks (Crowcombe Gate) Wednesday night and it looked pretty unpleasant then too. The snow seems to be hanging around a long time.

That slush holds the water in all the wrong places & prevents it draining - makes it much worse than riding after a heavy rainstorm.

Update, I've been up there on the bike this morning and the riding was a real hit and miss affair. Some bits of trail were bone dry while a few yards further on there where knee deep snowdrifts, horrible wet slushy snow, really difficult to ride on. ๐Ÿ™
