Currently using Conti Country Ride (came with bike). Looking for something with a slick central band, but with a bit of knobble on the shoulder for the odd riverside track action.

Needs to be cheap (less than £15) and available in 700x32-35

Any recommendations?

The one day bike sale people were doing a pair of Schwalbe Marathons with reflective side walls for £35 a pair the other week - just over your budget but worth the extra fiver I reckon

Trouble with that is that when you lean the bike over into a sharp tarmac corner, you suddenly end up with no grip shortly followed by a body tarmac interaction 🙄
Plus what useful grip do the side knobs actually provide offroad?

conti travel contact. Just what you need - come with inner tubes and puncture protection guarantee

Dibbs - if you ride on slimey / muddy stuff with them the knobbles give you edge grip in corners. They do work.

I was gonna suggest Schwalbe Land Cruisers. I fitted these to my wifes Inbred which she uses for mainly paths and tracks.

(an extra 5% off if you use the STWTBC code at checkout).

yup sounds exactly like the conti travel contacts,
I use these as my touring tyre and they are very good,
excellent puncture protection

edit gonna be slightly more expensive than £15, but I'd say never scrimp on decent tyres

Anybody using the Conti City Contact? A bit over at £19 from Wiggle, but come with a tube.

Travel contact a bit on the fat side tbh.

Bazz - how do you get on with the Vittorias? Seem to be some issues around fitting? Have you found this? They're a good price!

I have some Specialized Borough CX that i quite like. They come in a variety of sizes but if you're willing to go a tad wider they are on offer here at £7.99. Other sizes are £20+

+1 for Schwalbe Land Cruisers - my 10yo rode around Swinley on Sunday Morning in the rain and commutes to school on them daily. He did slip around a bit on some of the more technical stuff - but never complained. He is a bike handling god, however...

I use Schwalbe Marathons, but they are rubbish on muddy towpaths (20" wheels).

There is also the Schwalbe Marathon Cross - which I am currently trying out (in 26" flavour) as a general hybrid tyre. It comes in a 700x38C, but you'll likely not find it cheaper than £25 an end.
