I have a Commencal branded rear hub. It has no identification codes that I can see, but it has an oversized skewer/axle (skraxle?), and cartridge bearings.
The drive-side bearing needs to be replaced, but as far as I can see this bearing is behind the toothed ring (that engages with the pawls on the free-hub), which appears to be screwed into threads in the hub body.
Anyone come across this before?
How can this toothed ring be removed? Is there a special tool?
I've tried my LBS (a Commencal dealer) but he was unable to help.
Thanks...........Jim.
