[#2890276]

I've just replaced the air shock (RP2) on my Blur LT with a coil shock (DHX5) for my imminent trip to the Alps. I've replaced the spring with the correct one for my fat *ss.

My question is, when installing the new spring, how tight should it be before I am actually adding preload?

Or, when does installation of the spring stop and preload adjustment begin?

Thanks
Iain

As soon at the spring can't rattle between the stop and the preload adjuster with the bike having no weight on it (lift iut an inch od the floor to ensure the rear has dropped to full extension). Beyond that and you are adding preload.
