Hi all,

I've just been told by my LBS that the, and I quote "Front and back cogbotton spring piston seized and needs to be serviced". Any Idea what this is? The bike is a FS and running 1x9 with a chain device so has no front mech? Any help would be hugely helpful.

Thanks in advance

Sounds like you might need some tartan paint and a bit of elbow grease for that cogbotton...

The only things on a bike that have pistons are hydraulic brakes, but I've never heard of a cogbotton, maybe you misheard? Probably worth giving them a call and asking for a slightly more detailed explanation.

You will have a big weight to get it fixed though.

(get them to explain what it is and please share...)
