I'm building up a spare parts bin bike (a little like the one in [url= http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/my-low-budget-winter-hardtail ]this thread[/url], only more so 😉 ).
I have the cups & bearings from an old Hope headset, but no crown race or top bearing cover. Can I bodge some other headset parts to fit? Any ideas what? It's this one:

The crown race on those was thicker than most due to an o-ring seal. That could cause an issue with the cup maybe being deeper than most. Can't remember how the top parts were.
