I have a superstar post in my Cotic soul, it's an older frame which is 27.2. On one qr clamp and charge spoon saddle. I had an issue with sitting down over bumps I get a clicking noise, can feel it in my arse and feel it if I put my hand on the post, flat roads and and standing up its silent, did an xc race this weekend and it was making such a racket, evening a marshal commented on it as I went past. I went out again today and at first it's silent, then slowly it starts to click and get more louder and more frequent. I have tighten all little screws on saddle and sprayed wd40 where rails go into saddle, greased rails and clamp bolts which are tight, cleaned post and down into seat tube, seat clamp bolt also greased and tight, anyone had anything like this before?
I reckon it's your saddle, my sella Italia max gel flow clicks where the rails fit in the back of the saddle..more so when I shift my weight to the rear of the saddle..it is a pain in the ass!
Most comfortable saddle I've had, been for 2 years old I'm not impressed.
I swapped over to another saddle and did a few miles tonight and it's still doing it, the start of the ride its silent, then starts slicking every now and then, get more frequent till it's doing it at every small bump and it also gets louder
You need to try a different QR/seat-tube bolt. Better still, a different seatpost - just as a process of elimination.
Also try re-greasing the seatpost inside the frame.
Failing that try the same seat post in a different bike 😀
