After an overnight backpacking/bivvy trip on the Stiperstones my Carradice Nelson saddlebag is quite grubby and could probably do with a clean.
I've also been commuting with it for the past 3-4 years so its accumulated all kinds of grime so it probably needs a bit more than what a wipe down.
Is sticking it on 30 degrees in the washing machine a good idea?

carradice website says brush all the dirt off with a stiff brush. then was stubborn stuff with a nail brush and warm soapy water.

My very grubby nelson went into the washing machine inside a few pillow cases with some gentle soap. 30 degrees. All shiny and new!

I'll give it a go in the washing machine at the weekend and then look to reproof it for the winter.
