[#11729579]

While on ebay looking for an 11 speed XD driver cassette, this came up.

Every instinct in my body tells me it'll be made of cheese. However as Mrs asbrooks will attest I have been proven wrong many times.
So anyone got one? Seen one? know someone who has one?
Depending on the reply my plan would be to remove the 50t sprocket.

I've been impressed by Clarks stuff in the past particularly their M2 brakes, but you tend to cut them a bit more slack for being cheap.

The question is really how much is the SRAM equivalent? Bet it's a good chuck more...

It will actually be ok .it's made in Taiwan by the same people who do sunrace .
Just to clarify you can't simply remove one sprocket and run this as an 11 SPD as that's what you may of implied .
The spacing between each teeth differs .

Wonder if they do an 11 speed version with XD fitment?

Can't see one on that eBay shop.

There has to be a market for them, not everyone wants to go to 12 speed. In fact I'd go back to 10 speed if there was XD 10 speed cassette.

Sunrace do a good one, but Clarks might be cheaper (and as above, appears to be from same factory).

I'm talking about 11sp XD alternatives to SRAM cassettes btw.

I've always been impressed with Clarks stuff so I'd use the cassette.

As for quality with these cheaper cassettes I've got a "VG Sports" one 11-50t which is okay, but not great. Bit slow to shift down from the 50t. Also if you backpedal on the 3 or 4 largest cogs the chain drops, despite moving the chainring inboard from the normal middle position with some spacers.
However, it shits fine in normal use on all the other cogs. No idea about longevity yet

I run it on a hybrid with 48t chainring so i get a good range of gears for fast commuting, or towing the kiddy trailer up some hills.

I paid 34 quid for it which i'm happy with. They seem to be 50 quid or so now which is too much IMO.

I have a shimano and sram 12 cassettes on my mtb which don't have either of the above problems.

I've been eyeing those up too, think it'll be just right for the gravel bike

*The appearance is simple and generous.

Reassuring.

The ratio spacing seems well off.  15-18-22-24-28 through the middle of the cassette.  Doesn't seem a sensible ratio spread at all.

Regarding the cassette in the OP's post.

Interesting, *9*-50 as opposed to 10-50 SRAM cassette.

Could be handy on the road sections I ride to the trails.

Going to look into this.

Quite like the look of those Zitto cassettes as a lighter option that doesn't require a bank loan to buy. Delivery times a bit off putting though.

Anyone picked up the Ztto cassette for 12 speed and have a review on it? Or one of the other brands.
