....and a combination of Xmas money and generosity from stwe'ers, I got my Trance out today for the first time since April 2015. Bike fitness is obviously gone, I was always awful technically, but somehow am worse than before! Absolutely loved it though! Loop from my house up the Bosley Cloud (which was fairly unrideable in part by me due to the mud!) also managed to annoy a Cheshire dickhead "farmer" by straying into his field en route home which was fairly fun!

Replaced the stock wheels with a superstar set and got a Revelation fork to replace the frankly awful (and rusted) Recon fork. Upped the front travel to 140 from 120, and seems to have dropped the weight from around 34lbs to just under 31lbs which is nice. Some indexing issues, but the drive train is now by far the weakest link on the bike, hopefully got them sorted though. Took a few attempts to get seat post height and bar controls sorted too.

Awesome morning riding and lunchtime fettling though, I can't quite believe that I've left it so long!

A couple of frankly awful pictures:

Nice work 👍 don’t leave it so long again! I had a brief hiatus from riding coinciding with my first job and being away from home. It was short but still regret a summer or two wasted!

Nice spot. Not been up Bosley way since, oooh, 1990(?) NEMBA Series. flippin’ eck.
