I'm not usually to precious about carbon, but I've got to attach my lovely carbon road bike to the roof of a car with a halford cycle carrier that clamps onto the down tube about 6 inches above the BB shell. I can't work out why this would be a problem, with a spot of padding to stop scuffing etc, but I've had a brief moment of doubt. Will my bike survive or explode killing all around?
