Hello all. Came over Claiffe Heights a few weeks ago and the main path down to Hawkshead is in a bit of a state from recent/ongoing works to the big gate.
Are there any other good paths down to Hawkshead, seen a few on Strava but was hoping for a recommendation before taking a punt?

It's a shame - the storm damage took a lot of lovely mature trees down and the resultant forestry works have added to the sorry state of the trails. I'm staying away for a while to let things calm down and recover.

It is possible to ride down via the Latterbarrow FP. No idea what state that bit's in currently though.
Other than that, it's only really the Moss Eccles to Sawrey descent, as far as I know.
