[Closed] CK bottom brackets - do they really need the special tool to install?

I was about to upgrade my knackered Deore HT2 BB with an XT one, but I've spotted that Evans are doing (yuck!) brown CK bottom brackets for 69.99 - if they can be installed with the normal Shimano tools I might be tempted to try the mythical wonder of CK......

Yes they can be fitted with a shimano bb tool.

You'll only get a long trouble free life out of it if you service it on a regular basis though.
The sealings not better than any other bb.
But if you have the grease tool and use it it'll last a very long time.
My olderst one is over three years old now. Previous shimano bbs in the same from lasted on average 6 months.
