Folks I've been up n over the Devils Stair case a few times and followed the land rover track down into Kinlochleven - but cant quite work out how to loop it into the Ciaran path - should I turn right before the land rover track descent and head towards the dam, then what? Any help much appreciated so I can work out where I'm going on an OS map.

Yep, right as soon as you hit the landrover track, if you can, try to divert on to the conduit beside the landy track, rides like a road but much more exposed!
Clamber across the reservoir, then turn left to start the Ciarain path.

As above, turn right at the start of the double track. Head towards the dam and then cross it. Follow the path on the left fork and enjoy.

😯 how did that end? Wouldn't fancy trying to stop and dismount once the wall got higher, didn't think you could ride the whole length?
There's more singletrack loveliness to the right of the dam, you could tag it on as an out-and-back to Loch Chiarain, although the first km after the dam is squishy rubbish, it then gets much better.
where's those photos of the dam overflowing when someone crossed it?
