Not the best trail centre bike ever I'm afraid.

Unbeatable on square edged hits though, and cornering is a copy and past affair.

I am so damaged no counselling will ever cure me, and you have penetrated my pathetic facade to see that it is all pure jealousy.

reviews anyone ?

al - - i understand your envy, but put it to one side and carry on - you'll feel better once you give up on yearning for what you'll never have.

I do hope I have been trolled, or are you being serious?

EDIT I do recall a bloke on here buying one, not liking it, then trying to sell it, and being unable to get decent money for it.

Al, what Is the problem? Don't like the subject matter then ignore the post? though I think it may be that you don't like any posts with Chumba in them?

think you might have the wrong end of the stick there si

but perfectly understandable as most of this thread is gibberish.

Si I refer you to my post above, and have otherwise presented only the full extent of my factual information on the matter - you can't complain about that.

thread now irrelevant anyway as I've managed to secure an incredible deal on a VF2 full build.

i was suitably impressed a number of months ago, sufficiently so to buy the bike .

any owners got any further info they're wishing to share ?

try not to be frightened of al - he's just a lonely man behind a keyboard ๐Ÿ™‚

steve - of course not - the VF2 will have kit on for a swap onto a Helius AC later this year.

the Nic AM is undergoing a transformation. CCDB being tuned by Stendec, new 2011 Kashima Floats on it, tubeless conversion and new tyres........as well as a bearing service ๐Ÿ™‚

cynic al - i've re-read your posts.

for reference i still have the Hummer, the Ti456, the Nicolai Helius AM and the Chumba VF2 as well as my Tricross for commuting...

They are all very well cared for and ridden with abandon......... ๐Ÿ™‚

how many turns on the rebound on my CCDB?

I only accept answers from engineers...what are your qualifications?

yay that's my second muppet tag.

you always know you that you need to look at yourself when someone on the web slags you off and doesn't even put their name to it.

whoever you are, I take my work seriously and accept your applause.

Tedious thread distractions aside, I'm very happy with my VF2. Live in the Lakes, lots of uphill pedalling and rocky descents. What you gain in clearance from a high BB you lose in a slightly teetering feel, for me felt most on techy climbs (ie very low speed, balancy stuff) which I'm crap at anyway. The flipside is it feels very efficient to ride a long way, very good quality, solid support from Si who will also do deals on build bits (and full builds since I got mine). Very flattering 4 bar suspension which works well, ironing out the worst of things but not leaving you detached from what you're riding.

I'm pleased, and have no plans to change.
