So, first ride on the new build yesterday using GT as the test ground and I have to say, mighty impressed after thinking "OMG what the **** have I done" for an hour or so,it clicked. Climbing is full of clichés, suffice to say its precise, stable and easier. Going down is the biggest giggle though, once I figured out how to turn the thing properly I was genuinely shock at how fast it is and v glad of the big brakes to haul it up (especially considering the alarming amount of folk stopped in stupid places).Feels safer mid air than the C456 I had before but not quite as comfy at the back.
Quick Kit list:
XT gears, crank etc (2X9 ATM)
Hope V2s
runnning borrowed wheels just now but DT swiss 520 rims + pro2 hubs en route
Element bar
Truative stem
Rebas with 15mm maxle
Would like to give huge thanks to BigDugsBaws for all his help and advice, a total and utter star as usual ( apart from the ensuing 2 day hangover)
