A balmy -3C here in Tynedale. Just come back from a fab ride by just-passed full-moonlight that involved frozen trails, lots of ice and a badger. Now sat with a toasted crumpet, a glass of mead and a cup of tea. Happy days...
Not sure how cold it was when we finished the there was ice on the inside of the windscreen on the cars and the mud took a lot of defrosting to get it off.
Frozen stuff in abundance including seriously slippy stuff and some fantastically grippy stuff (one nadgery bit that, generally, the three of us don't clean all at the same time we all just rode up with very little drama, the easiest it has been!) but the just plain draggy stuff got the heart pumping a bit.
Toast gone, drink gone, bed is now beckoning for a sound sleep before tomorrows long day, gotta love parents evenings.
