I need to source an easy/learner Cheddar route loop . Not too much hill maybe 6-8 miles please , so any Ideas ?

Hi Paul. The southern edges of The Mendip are quite steep really. Also not many bridleways. Loops are mostly cheeky and quite techy too so not good for learners. Does it have to be Cheddar? The Burrington/Rowberrow area is riding beautifully at the moment and has many obvious and moderate trails.

Or the Strawberry line, which is a converted railway, flat, easy but with nice cafes. It runs from Cheddar to Yatton.

its a route for a off road newbie(my boss) and he lives in Cheddar . Maybe he would go a little further a field .

Heading up to Shipham and starting from there would be ok for a noob perhaps?

It'd be a 10 minute drive or less for him.
