I realise just getting hold of it is hard just now but has anyone seen any xt 12 speed transmission bargains lately?
More if anyone has actually seen any 12 speed xt stuff in stock let alone in stock cheap.
Ok I thought that might be the case.
R2-bike listing it at 320eur, but not in stock til April. I managed to source a full XT set from my lbs for £430 (no brakes or BB).
Probably not the cheapest, but felt reasonable & he had it there. It’s now in my garage awaiting all the other bits I haven’t been able to source for my build....
I'd guess merlin would be your best bet. But save yourself some money on the cranks and get slx. There is almost zero weight difference.
Even last year I was struggling so much to get all the parts for an XT build on a HT frame I gave up and bought the frame fully built as a XT bike. With no/minimal discounts on XT there wasn’t much ££ between building myself and buying a fully finished build
I couldn’t find xt in the uk and the no one really knew when they would get stock. Ended up going sram x01 at considerable cost but had a 4-6 week lead time.
