Need to service my fox floats and looking at the price of the Fox proprietary 10 wt oil makes me go ๐ฏ is there a cheaper option that won't ruin the forks?

yes go to a motorbike dealers and use there fork oil shed loads cheaper

Air side uses oil too, the float fluid is for the foam rings. I use fully synth engine oil and is even cheaper again.

The air side uses Float fluid (5cc) in the left leg. not 10wt according to Fox's service guide.
