The recessed bottom of certain aerosol cans fits pretty well, what have you guys found to avoid the high cost of shaped plastic tools?

I just use the old seal that came out, or if it's the wiper seal an old-style truvative external BB tool (for big totem seals).

I seem to remember using a Hope Pro2 cassette body seal tool fitting 32mm wiper seals on a my Revelation.

Not exactly avoiding buying a tool - but I have the Hope tool in my toolbox and it did the job nicely :).

Never felt the need for a tool, easy enough to do just by hand surely?
