Charger 2.1 rc fault, before I go back to sram

Been away in Scotland for a couple of weeks all good I think . I'm known on occasion to have suspension locked out and not really notice so maybe not the best guy to notice when things aren't quite right. Came home and did lower leg service then out for a ride and thought wow this is really supple . Then turned hsc dial to stiffen up a little and nothing happens. Has some rebound did a couple of damper  bleeds fresh oil etc . So anything simple before I try sram warranty

Is your take that the compression damping isn't doing anything based on actual riding or just a quick static / car park test? If the latter, I'd go for a proper, lumpy ride to check that it's definitely borked. I think the compression tune on that damper tends to be quite light anyway.

On the earlier Charger I had a problem with the seal on damper head, but I'm pretty sure Rockshox fixed that years ago.

<hr />

The hsc knob doesn't make any difference when I turn it and its very active when riding diving very easy even running higher pressures.

You want lsc on to stop diving so much. Hsc is for high fork stroke speeds - so landing from big jumps / drops etc.

It’s hard to feel a big difference static pressing down on forks I find. Most people I know run hsc on the charger 2.1 wide open otherwise it can get a bit spikey under large impacts (unless you’re a heavier rider). I think mine is 1 click from the lightest setting.

Lsc adjustment on the 2.1 is fairly subtle - but I tend to run mine about 4 clicks from the lightest damping possible.
